The MLK holiday is always a busy one for the NBA schedule. Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks welcome in the defending champion Toronto Raptors on Martin Luther King Jr. Trae missed out on the first FG if you were on that. He’s also pretty close to his assist total at +115, so a lot of value looking good so far. There’s no doubt Young will get to double-digit scoring, but with five dimes already, Trae has a legit shot at a double-double at +190 odds. Still, props are looking good on most of the OVER hits for Young.įirst Quarter Update: Young ($9,500) got off to a slow start, but came on strong mid-way through the first, finishing with seven points and four assists for 13 fantasy points. He also only has one rebound and received a technical foul with 31.9 seconds left in the half, which has to make us a bit nervous. He only has one 3-pointer, so would need three more for that OVER. As mentioned, Young has already hit the assist over and the double-double. The Hawks trailed by 12 in the game, but mounted a comeback and are leading 60-57 at the half. Halftime Update: Trae finishes the first half with 15 points and 10 assists (OVER) for 31.75 FPTS through 19 minutes. Young just needs to stave off Pascal Siakam (18 points) for top scorer in the game. Young is up to 45.75 FPTS as well and is on pace for another 60-point outing. He’s got 24 points with 12 assists and three boards, so the PTS/AST/REB total OVER also in a good spot at 39.0. Third Quarter Update: Young shouldn’t need to do much to hit the points OVER of 26.5 heading into the fourth. At $9,500 on DraftKings, Young will be among the top GPP plays on the slate. It was Young’s third 40-point game in January. Young hit on every prop except for 3-pointers (UNDER 3.5) and First FG of the Game (+650). If you bet the Hawks on the spread, they covered, plus Young’s prop bets were very favorable today. Young nearly led the Hawks to a big upset win over the Raptors, but fell short.
